The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering providers for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed concerning the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This sassa is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service here the area on a daily basis. The support stage produced for intervention encounters a significant influx of likely beneficiaries, sassa status that makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
